HAUSBRAID vs Booksy

Booksy is a marketplace and booking app where clients find you on Booksy and book from its listing. HAUSBRAID is built for braiders: your clients call, text and DM as they always have, and each one is written up for your tap.

Credit where due

What Booksy does well.

  • A marketplace with real traffic: new clients can find you on Booksy without you doing anything.
  • One price with everything in it, including 2,000 marketing texts a month.
  • Online booking, deposits and no-show protection when you take cards through Booksy.
  • An AI receptionist is in beta, on a dedicated Booksy number.

Where it differs

Where a braider feels the difference.

  1. Who the client belongs to

Booksy: Clients book on Booksy’s listing and in Booksy’s app. Boost, if you turn it on, takes 30% of a new client’s first visit (up to $100).

HAUSBRAID: Clients call your braider’s line, DM your Instagram or book on your own page. No marketplace, no cut, ever.

  2. The phone, while you braid

Booksy: Calls go to voicemail unless you join the AI receptionist beta, which answers on a separate Booksy number.

HAUSBRAID: Each braider’s line rings their own phone. When the braider can’t pick up, the assistant does, and the call is written up for their tap.

  3. Instagram DMs

Booksy: A Book Now button on your profile. The DMs themselves, you still answer by hand.

HAUSBRAID: Every conversation, voice notes too, is written up as a booking or a reply you approve.
