How HAUSBRAID, operated by Theophile Cousin, handles information about the braiders and salon owners who use it and about their clients. We don't sell personal information. Questions or requests: cousin.theophile@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, your name if you give it (or it comes from Google when you sign in with Google), and the mobile number you verify.
- Your salon: what you put in or bring over from Booksy, Square or StyleSeat: your business details, hours, menu and photos, team, bookings, payment records, hair stock and notes.
- Your clients: the names, phone numbers, email addresses, booking history and notes a salon keeps, and what clients enter when they book online.
- Messages: texts with the assistant, texts and emails HAUSBRAID sends for a salon, and on a braider line, its texts and, where the caller is told so, call recordings and their transcripts.
- How HAUSBRAID is used: pages visited, clicks, errors and device and browser details, and in production session recordings with what you type masked.
We don't store your passwords for other services. When you import from Booksy, you sign in yourself in a private browser we open for you; if you choose to be remembered, that browser's sign-in is kept until you ask us to forget it.
How we use it
- to run HAUSBRAID for you: your calendar, clients, menu, bookings, payments set-up and the To do;
- to send the texts and emails you or your salon asked for (sign-in codes, booking messages, reminders, alerts);
- to answer you through the assistant, which sends your request and the salon information it needs to an AI provider;
- to keep HAUSBRAID secure, find and fix problems, and make it better;
- to reach you about your account, and to follow the law.
We don't use your information or your clients' for advertising.
Text messages
Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We use your mobile number to verify your account (a sign-in code, nothing more) and, only if you opt in, to send the texts described in the Terms. Our SMS provider (Twilio) handles them for us only to deliver them. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Who processes it for us
These companies handle information for us, only to provide their part of HAUSBRAID:
- Supabase: our database and sign-in;
- Vercel: hosting, and the gateway to AI providers;
- Twilio: text messages, phone verification and braider lines;
- Resend: email;
- Stripe or Square: the payment processor a salon connects, under its own account, for its clients' payments;
- AI providers (such as Anthropic), reached through Vercel's AI Gateway: the assistant, the menu designer and drafts of replies on a braider line;
- PostHog: product analytics and error reports, in production only;
- Browser Use: the private browser for imports from Booksy;
- Google: sign-in with Google, and a salon's Google Business Profile when the owner connects it.
We also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or with a successor if HAUSBRAID is ever transferred, who would remain bound by this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your salon's information for as long as the account is open. When you ask us to delete it, we delete it within 30 days, except what the law makes us keep (payment records, for example) and copies in backups, which are overwritten over time. Messages and analytics are kept only as long as they are useful to run and improve HAUSBRAID.
Your choices and deletion
You can see and change most of your information in HAUSBRAID. To get a copy of it, or to have your account and your salon's information deleted, write to cousin.theophile@gmail.com from the email you sign in with. We will answer within 30 days.
If you are a salon's client, the salon decides what it keeps about you: ask the salon first. You can also write to us and we will help.
Security
Information travels encrypted, every account is tied to a verified phone, and every salon's information is kept apart from every other's. No system is perfectly secure: if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Children
HAUSBRAID is for businesses, not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top says when it last changed; if a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
